****** ***** High School: “Manny, shut up…”
A quick note. I hate being shut out, especially when i’m here to help. I approached a large urban high school about sitting down with their Parent Coordinator just to take in what it’s like working in a school that is at 140 percent of its maximum capacity. It’s the only good school in the neighborhood but they keep losing experience teachers. Each year they have less and less resources to go around.
Now, after an initial Ok, and after we set up an appointment, there was a last-minute cancellation enforced, in my opinion, by the principal. Should I start digging? Should I dig around them? Should I be suspicious? I mean I’ve looked at their budget. That they’re school enjoys even minimal success is truly a miracle, and one wrought thorugh hard work and juggling…. still…. idk

well it’s been a hectic 90 days or so… and we really haven’t chatted, bs’d or harassed each other in a good bit…. so chances are you’ll read this about three weeks after i post it… remains to be seen… but alas… here I am… Here I be…

This blog will now take a different shape.. While it will continue to focus on News Commentary, it will make a stylistic leap that is only one of semantics. Shit, I’ve been doing it this whole time. So besides thinking of this as “just a blog”, I’m going to continue to run it as a web-column. In some ways its a far more antiquated form than these hyperlinks and embedded videos would have you believe. It’s “trusted voice” journalism in the style of Walter Cronkite or Thomas Friedman. Obviously, our voices are different.
No shit. They should glue an “observa-tron” sticker on your denser-than-brick-headpiece. But you go to different ppl for different values they add to the news. You rely not on just the news, but on different aggregations of news, different prioritizations of news, different digestion and different mechanism for deconstruction. I go to my boy Ben L or Igoravetch if I don’t get some finance shit. Sometimes I go to crazy maltese homie who has an entirely different take, esp. when I feel the first two are not grasping some trajectory or angle of the news.
Here, you will find my type of deconstruction. If you don’t like it, THAT’S OK! Hey dipshit, we have 50,000+ american amputees who sacrificed appendages for someone ELSE’S right to this (supposedly, but hey, this is a treatise not a diatribe).
So I’m done. These explanations are ridiculous anyway. I’m 27, according to some folks that puts me about 5 years away from being a Republican. Yeah, well, I got a mastadonic trunk i want you to ponder too but they’d boot my ass if I told what I think you should do with it….
