Soul-less political scumbag of the week: Warren County Commissioner Mike Kilburn
So you know how the RightWingNuts have been whining about the burdensome tax system? (you know, the one that was implemented by the Bush Administration?) And you know how they’re blaming Obama for it? And you know how some Republican Politicos have actually turned down federal stimulus funding? Just to prove a point?
Well this piece of shit takes the cake. I’m sorry. There’s no other way for me to put it. Mike Kilburn is a piece of shit.
So he’s decided that Warren County (over in Ohio) will be the only county in the state not to accept money to help with transportation costs.
“I’ll let Warren County go broke before taking any of Obama’s filthy money,” Commissioner Mike Kilburn said.
ODOT spokesman Scott Varner said the money was specifically for transit improvements in rural areas to improve transportation for disabled people, seniors and others needing access to health care and educational opportunities.
“I’m tired of paying for people who don’t have,” Kilburn said. “As Reagan said, ‘Government is not the answer, it’s the problem.’”
Wow… Mr. Kilburn. You, my non-friend, are a heartless fuckwad. I hope you never fall victim to anyone like you.

oh yeah… headed to the : Dam. I’ve been needing a break from the NY insanity for a while. Got my own project coming out in June, so I’m taking this one last opportunity to bolster some strength.

Kilburn is a total right wing SOB; how is it his decision to not accept the money…boy thank you for screwing over my grandma Mr. Mike “FU” Kilburn…..this is the exact reason i moved away from Lebanon and warren county and said i would never move back, but for some odd reason i thought things would have changed….i am constantly at wits end living here….if it was for the fact that i had a great job doing what i love, Environmental Consulting…..ohh, i am sure if funding came through for sustainable development, greening etc…that Mr. Mike “FU” Kilburn would reject the funds saying that “given the state of the economy we can afford to screw up the environment even more so please take the money back Warren County wants to continue to rip up trees and build subdivisions and add roads where there were once wetlands”…

Finally, I found a blog post calling Kilburn on his lunacy. ‘Round here he is a great patriot. And he must be…because if he had reared his ugly head anytime during the last eight years to decry federal spending…well we’d be overrun by terrorists long ago. Unfortunately half the county is related to the Kilburns so as long as the family shows up to vote, they’ll keep getting elected.

Wow are you guys completely out of it. Do you realize that before Mr. Kilburn was elected commissioner Warren County continually ran deficits and was one of worst counties in Ohio. Since he has been a comissioner Warren County has increased in stature in that state, ran surpluses and lowered property taxes for everyone while maintaining some of the best schools in the entire state.
Also, do you realize that when you raise taxes you are literally stealing money from people. Hard working people who want nothing more to save some money, buy a house and put their kids through college. It’s theft. If the MOB did it your would be calling for the police. If government does it you call it a good thing.
Warren County in this time or ecomonic tough times has unemployment of six percent. The entire state of Ohio is 8% and the Nation is 8% so lets be honest. By not over spending and saving money he citizens of Warren County are better off than any other county in Southern Ohio.
The burdensome tax system was not started by the Bush Administraton, it was actually adopted by Roosevelt. The income tax at that time was then ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Congress then lied to the American people telling them that if they amended the constitution and allowed an income that it would only ever effect 1% of all Americans.
The only thing that Obama is going to responsible for the inflation like you have never seen. Inflation that will rival what we saw in the late 70’s. We will also see the largest expansion of government ever. Which could mean that 3 out of 5 americans could be working for the Federal Government. Just as a history lesson, the Federal Government has never run anything successfully. The only thing the government has ever done well is wage war.
The reason Federal Stimulus money is being turned down is because it comes with strings. Do you even know how this stuff works. The Feds want the localities to start a program, so they volunteer half the money. Then a year or two down the line they cut the funding forcing the localities to then increase local taxes to cover the difference. So here you have a locality that is paying for a program they never asked for and never wanted. So, people start moving to other neighborhoods with lower taxes. The communities fall apart and your left with what was a nice place. Also, did the County ask for this money, no. Do they need the money, no. How did anyone in Washington know they needed money for this kind of improvement. I can assure you that Congresswomen Schmidt did not visit the county.
Why is it that you believe that government can do anything well? Also, have you ever read our Constitution. No where in the Constitution does it allow the President of the United States fire a CEO or a company. Nowhere in the Constitution does it allow the Federal Government to loan money to banks, insurance companies or car manufacturers. Heck, most of what our government does it simply does not have the Constitutional power to do. If you must read the 10th Amendment to the Constitution, any power not expressly given to the Federal Government is entrusted to the States. We as passive and stupid electors allow the government to suck the power from our everyday lives and enslave us all.

In fact in the future I will go out of my way to avoid Warren county and purchasing any products made there! Enjoy your stay in A-Dam. Now, this just isn’t fair journalism. The commissioners aren’t denying the seniors access to this, they already have it. The stimulus money was simply to buy new vehicles for the same purpose, but Warren County doesn’t need the new vehicles, theirs are only a few years old. Why borrow money to buy something you don’t need? That’s just not being fiscally responsible.

Well, Suzi, there are better ways to say what you have said. There’s no point in bringing yourself down to a lower level. And Tim, you are correct; the media will always push the agenda du jour. They’re fickle. You added your comments here back in June, but look at what has occurred in just six months. The liberal talking heads are now making comments that are not quite so pro our current president whose popularity rating is now only 49%. You can’t let people get to you, Suzi. You and Tim should just stay the course regardless of whether you two remain girlfriend/boyfriend. Always rise to a better occasion. Interesting material, although I must say I find myself siding with Suzi, Jay and Robin. (If you must write or post in the Internet, avoiding vulgarity is one of the best ways to convey intelligence.) I’ve only briefly read what Mike’s done for his county in Ohio and he looks outstanding to me. And Jay (I think it was) is right in stating that federal gov’t has extremely limited powers compared to states in many ways. They draw the states in with money and get citizens addicted to cash flow before having their way with state laws or authority – this goes for any administration. So beware, avoiding federal funds you don’t really need is smart – if one values their independence. If the problems really exist for busing old or disabled about then bring it to Mike’s attention and I’m sure he’ll find a solution with the county’s money.
